Windows 10 Build 15031 slips in handy video and auto-locking features ahead of Creators Update - riceworythe
Windows 10 has an account anyone WHO'd loved one to mussiness with your PC when you leave for lunch. The latest Insider Work up 15031 includes a radical "Dynamic Lock" feature that secures your auto when you're non around. Another handy new feature film is Constrict Overlay for entr standalone video windows. Neither is fully operational yet, only it gives us a peek into whatsoever of the better points to expect as Windows 10 moves toward the Creators Update.
How Dynamic Lock whole kit and caboodle
Energizing Lock is a cordiform, yet powerful (and ex gratia) feature for lockup thrown your PC. If you've paired a Bluetooth telephone set, Windows will periodically check to see if IT's still in rate. The idea is if the phone is in your pocket, you're placid at your desk—and the PC stern remain on. Once you've left the field, yet, Dynamic Shut away will determine that your phone is no more in range, and shut away your PC after 30 seconds.
Dynamic Lock away will automatically lock your PC if your phone (and you, presumptively) walk away.
Unfortunately—and more than a bit ironically—a tease in the habitus prevents you from pairing your Bluetooth phone if you visit Settings > Devices, as the Settings app will crash. Trying to connect via Quick Actions from the Action Center also won't work, so you're likely better off just ready for an upcoming build to try this out.
If you're one of the few people WHO've tried lesser-best-known browsers comparable Maxthon, which allows video windows to atomic number 4 pulled out into standalone Windows, past you'll be familiar with what Microsoft's upcoming Compact Overlay feature will proffer apps. (For now, Microsoft hasn't said whether this feature would seminal fluid to Edge.)
The new Compact Overlayer have strips out video into a compact window that floats above the others.
Simply put, Bundle off Cover will slim falling an app's TV window into a small, "bezel-inferior" window that will rest on top of all the others. It sounds like an easy way to keep tabs happening a Demonstrate Madness game or the Premier League while you "work" within other windows. Microsoft said in a web log post that Press Overlay will be applied to the Movies & TV app too as Skype Preview in the future, though it's not here yet.
Windows 10's new "Plowshare" icon.
The difference of the update includes a spic-and-span Windows "portion out" picture as well equally a massive add-on of 52 new games to the Windows Brave Bar, includingElect: Dangerous, Dishonored 2, Fallout: New Vegas, and Grand Theft Auto V.
Beware, however, arsenic some of the Same bugs that plagued earlier builds remain. IT power appear the download bar gets stuck happening "Initializing…" when trying to update to the new build, and the Spectrum.exe measure that can cause your PC to lose sound remains in some configurations.
Wherefore you should care: Microsoft's focus is clearly moving to bug bashing, in the short time left before Windows 10 Creators Update is expected to launch. Smaller builds like these, however, show how the calleris still smoothing out the Windows 10 experience where it can.
